Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Chairman Noor-ul-Haq Baloch met with newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Naqeebullah Kakar at the GPA headquarters on Friday to congratulate him on taking charge. The meeting focused on critical issues, including Gwadar’s ongoing water shortage, the operational status of the port’s desalination plant, and improvements to the water distribution network.
Chairman Baloch emphasized that providing clean drinking water to residents remains a top priority. He assured that measures are underway to boost the desalination plant’s capacity and maintain a steady water supply across the city.
Following the discussion, both officials visited the desalination facility, where technical teams briefed them on its production capabilities, operational processes, and current challenges.
