MediSun Energy, a Singapore-based leader in integrated brine management, has signed two strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with China’s GreenTech Environmental during the Global Water Expo in Riyadh.

The collaboration merges MediSun’s advanced technologies — Reverse Electrodialysis (RED) and Selective Electrodialysis Metathesis (S-EDM) — with GreenTech’s modular desalination system, Newater House. Designed for rapid deployment, Newater House supports both Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (BWRO) and Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO). MediSun’s RED will enhance energy generation and brine control, while S-EDM will improve water recovery and minimize brine discharge.

Under the first MoU, MediSun will distribute Newater House across the Middle East and Africa, while GreenTech will introduce MediSun’s technologies in China. The second MoU expands the partnership in Saudi Arabia through MediSun Arabia — a joint venture with MOAJ Holding — focusing on local manufacturing, technology transfer, and workforce development.

The agreement was formalized in the presence of key executives from both companies and regional stakeholders, marking a significant step toward sustainable water solutions in global markets.
